Our drivers enjoy working for a company that puts them on the road to success both professionally and personally. We offer high miles, competitive pay (including Guaranteed Dock Detention) and a great vacation program.
At Celadon, you are part of the team approach that we use to meet each customer's specific needs. Along with the customer service representative who takes the order, the planner who matches your truck to a shipment and your driver manager, you can take pride in working with people who make Celadon the best international truckload carrier between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

| I just wanted to make a quick reply to this post. I am a current employee at Celadon and reg. using my REAL name so as to lend credibility to my rebuttal to the prev post... Here at Celadon I have been lied to, but not by them because they only use an outside recruiting company... Where as they claim to have an average length of haul at 1000 miles I can honestly state that over the past 2.5 months my average has been at 560 miles length of haul.. They also stated that they have an over all averag of 2600 miles per week.... I started on March 7, (finished orientation and was assigned a truck) and it is now May 22.. I have driven 27000 miles which only 25000 were paid dispatch miles because they use the OLD pay method of short household movers.. that being said I'd also like to say that I have not turned down any loads and stay out 3 and 4 weeks at a time... making my average miles per week 2083. Further more I was quoted at 34 cpm with per diem, I found out during orientation that it would be 34 cpm or 32.5 including a 11 cpm per diem.. Also, I have had to argue with my dispatch each time to get me home on time, they also say that most of their freight is in the south, my experience has been otherwise, though I suppose that if I didnt live in VA I wouldnt have to spend so much time in the Northeast Corner. Now on to their percentage of drop and hooks, though I havent kept track of the percentage I would have to say it is around 50-60% on one end or the other and less than 20% on both ends... also be prepared to chase them down for 2 or 3 weeks to get that detention pay. And as far as tolls are conserned they pay all "authorized" tolls, and will route you in a way as to avoid all tolls, and hence they become unathorized... Over all I cant stand all the lies and feel obligated to tell everyone I can.. Yes I am still employed by them, but will be leaving a soon as I get the 30,000 mile mark and get the $1000 dollar bonus... |
